Applications are considered four times per year at Board meetings, subject to available funding.
As The Enchanted Forest celebrates its 25th anniversary, we’re proud to announce that a record-breaking £134,044 has been awarded through our Community Fund, supporting 36 organisations and projects in Pitlochry and across Highland Perthshire.
Every ticket purchased for The Enchanted Forest helps create more than a magical evening in Faskally Wood. It also helps support a wide range of well deserving projects that make our community such a special place to live, work and visit.
This year’s funding represents the largest amount ever distributed through the Community Fund, with grants awarded to organisations working across youth development, sport, mental health, accessibility, community facilities, environmental initiatives, arts and culture, and tackling poverty and isolation – and much more.
In total, 50 applications were received from organisations throughout the region. Following a detailed assessment process, projects were selected to receive funding, helping deliver meaningful and lasting benefits to local communities.
Among the largest awards were:
• Pitlochry Baptist Church SCIO – £10,000
• Moulin Kirk Trust – £10,000
• Pitlochry Town Hall – £9,650
• Mindspace Limited – £7,000
• Social Flock – £7,000
• Pitlochry Community Action Trust – £7,000
This year also marked the introduction of a new assessment framework, designed to ensure funding is directed towards projects that demonstrate strong community need, clear impact and long-term benefit for local people. This year, we’re especially proud to have re-structured our funding so that projects in Pitlochry, our home community, are even more likely to benefit.
Gordon Morrison, CEO of The Enchanted Forest Community Trust, said:
“The quality and diversity of applications this year was incredible and demonstrated just how much valuable work is taking place in Pitlochry and across Highland Perthshire.
“The funding provided this year goes to a diverse range of groups, all with one thing in common. Each group is making a real difference in their communities every day, and we’re delighted that The Enchanted Forest can play a part in helping that work continue.”
He added:
“As we celebrate 25 years of The Enchanted Forest, we’re incredibly proud that the event continues to create a positive legacy beyond the forest itself. Alongside the economic benefit the event brings to the region, it’s important that we continue to invest directly in the communities that have supported us throughout our journey.”
Since becoming a charitable trust in 2010, The Enchanted Forest supported a wide range of community organisations, facilities and initiatives.
We’d like to thank every organisation that applied this year, and every visitor whose ticket purchase and donations helped make this funding possible.
Together, we’re helping ensure that the magic of The Enchanted Forest reaches far beyond the trees.
