Accessibility.
Accessibility has always been important to the organisers of The Enchanted Forest. We are committed to making the event as accessible as possible for people with disabilities, mindful of the restrictions we might have due to the natural forest setting in which the event is situated, and that everyone’s needs can vary.
We offer a range of accessibility support options and features based on visitor feedback from visitors and we are always looking at how we can continue to improve.
Faskally Wood is a natural setting so there are some limitations to the changes we can make to the forest. The paths are accessible to some people who use wheelchairs but we strongly recommend that you read the reviews on Euan’s Guide for more detailed information on the walk and gradients to assess whether it is suited to your specific access needs prior to booking. We have also created a simplified site map for our visitors with access needs which you can download here.
Here are some of the specific access solutions that we have in place to make your trip to The Enchanted Forest as enjoyable as possible.
Wheelchair users.
Due to limited space, disabled parking on site is reserved for wheelchair users only.
Wheelchair users should book their tickets via the dedicated Wheelchair User booking option on SEE Tickets website.
As part of this purchasing process you will be able to select a Wheelchair Parking Pass for site which will be emailed to you alongside your tickets.
Your parking space is yours for the evening, you can arrive and leave when it is convenient to you and take your time while on site.
Please be aware that passes are allocated on a first come, first serve basis, and are subject to availability.
Accessible Toilets
There are accessible toilets located next to the drop off area for the accessible bus and wheelchair pass parking area in the forest.
Directions to Wheelchair Parking Spaces
Directions to our wheelchair parking spaces can be downloaded here. Please note you will only be admitted if you have a valid wheelchair parking pass which you must book in advance.
The Accessibility Bus.
Our Accessibility Bus is for those with mobility or access needs (no special registration is required). You do not need to be registered for a blue badge to use our accessibility bus and you can book onto the bus as a full party if even just one of your party needs the easier access assistance.
Our 19 seater Accessibility Bus service is for those customers who find boarding a standard luxury coach (pictured on the right) with high steps difficult. This may include factors such as age, injury, chronic health conditions, pain or mobility limitations — we want to make your visit more comfortable and inclusive.
The Accessibility Bus has one step into the bus at the entrance which is closer to the ground to make boarding easier. There are two small steps up into the seating area. A ramp is also available. It is a smaller coach and the departures area has considerably smaller queues for those customers who find larger crowds/queues distressing.
There are no wheelchair spaces on our Accessibility Bus.
Accessibility Bus tickets include a parking space at Blair Athol Distillery, adjacent to the bus departure point, to minimise overall walking and queuing times.
Due to level of demand, the Accessibility Bus only runs on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
The Accessibility Bus departs from Blair Athol Distillery and must be booked online in advance.

Autism Friendly Sessions.
Autism Friendly sessions are now available every night of the show.
We know that big noisy queues, lots of people on site and crowds may be overwhelming for some autistic visitors and their families.
If you or someone you are travelling with has Autism Spectrum Disorder, you have a choice about whether to attend one of our dedicated Autism Friendly performances via main departures, or to book the Accessible Bus which offers a smaller bus/smaller queues so that you can tailor your solution according to your party’s specific needs.
Our Autism Friendly performances are:
- Depart from Main Departures
- Right at the start of the night so you’ll be first on site and practically have the forest to yourselves.
- Right at the start of the bus queues, before any crowds have started to build up.
- Smaller capacity shows so that less people are going out to site with you so it won’t feel as busy.
- Sound levels at the event will be reduced for this session and will gradually be increased as other visitors arrive on site.
Our autism friendly performances are open to all visitors, it’s the numbers attending in this departure time slot that are restricted.
Free carer tickets.
The Enchanted Forest Community Trust funds a limited number of Free Carer Tickets which will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis, subject to availability.
You can select these at the time of booking and upload valid evidence to support your access a free carer ticket as part of the booking process. Examples of evidence include, but are not exclusive to: Attendance Allowance Letter, Carers’ Allowance Letter of Award or Carer’s Card. Please ensure you have these to hand before you start the booking process.
If a Free Carer’s Ticket is not available on the day you wish to attend, please select an alternative date.
Assistance Dogs.
Guide dogs, hearing dogs, support / assistance dogs (for physical, hearing, visual or emotional support) are welcome.
Please ensure assistance dogs are wearing their usual harness or identification. Be aware that in some locations there may be lighting fixtures, cabling or speakers positioned at canine height, please take care in those areas.
Assistance dogs in training are also welcome.
Specialist Communication Boards.
The Enchanted Forest is the first major light trail in Scotland to introduce specialist communication boards designed to help children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).
The specially designed communication boards, created in partnership with NHS Tayside, will be placed at each of the lighting installations throughout The Enchanted Forest event.
NHS Tayside, in conjunction with Enable Communities, has adapted a standard core set of symbols and words, which are displayed on the boards.
These give children a visual way to express themselves, making the event a truly communication-friendly environment for families.
Photo-Sensitive Epilepsy.
We advise that people with photosensitive epilepsy do not attend The Enchanted Forest because the volume of lighting may create flashing or strobing across multiple sources that could trigger seizures.
While no single source of lighting regularly strobes at high frequency, the volume of light fixtures on site could raise the frequency of light flashes and strobing across multiple sources to a level where it may be considered unsafe for people who are affected by photo-sensitive epilepsy.
Accessibility Site Map
This is a black and white version of our show map for 2025, outlining the different installations with descriptions, areas for seating, arrival points for autism friendly sessions, the accessibility bus, and wheelchair parking. It also highlights the locations of our accessible toilets, safe and quiet spaces and catering areas. For a downloadable version in PDF format, click on the map.
