More Awards Success for Magical Enchanted Forest

The award-winning Enchanted Forest, Scotland’s premier sound and light event, is singing from the tree-tops after adding another accolade to its long list of successes by winning Best Event or Festival at the Regional Final for the North East of Scotland’s Scottish Thistle Awards. This win propels the event through to the national final in March 2015.

This latest win tops off a tree-rific year for the hit show after winning Best Cultural Event for the third time in four years at 2014’s Scottish Event Awards. Record breaking numbers of visitors experienced the spectacular show this year at Faskally Wood near Pitlochry, reinforcing the event’s position as a major driver of tourism for Scotland. Over 46,000 people travelled to Highland Perthshire for this year’s show, elemental, which ran for 3 weeks in October.

The Enchanted Forest’s international profile has attracted visitors from all over the world to the sound and light spectacle and has had a significant impact on the local community and its growing economy in the 13 years since the event launched.

The event’s international profile has catapulted the Victorian town of Pitlochry onto an international stage and press coverage around the globe attracts visitors from around the world to the sound and light spectacle which humbly has its roots firmly planted in the nearby forest of Faskally Wood.

Derek Allan, Producer of The Enchanted Forest commented:

“Everyone here at the Enchanted Forest is thrilled to have won a Scottish Thistle Award. The Enchanted Forest keeps growing and we are very proud of the show we bring to the public from year-to year. The whole team work incredibly hard to make each year bigger and better and winning an award like this really recognises that hard work and dedication from everyone involved.”

The Enchanted Forest will now look to repeat their success to the National Awards next year.
