Milestone visitor to receive special Highland Perthshire experience as The Enchanted Forest marks 25 years of magic

The Enchanted Forest has reached an extraordinary milestone, selling a ticket to its one millionth visitor as the award-winning sound and light show celebrates its 25th anniversary.

Fiona Robson, an NHS Nurse, and her family became the landmark millionth visitor when they purchased tickets for this year’s show, Stop The Clock: The 25th Hour, which takes place at Faskally Wood near Pitlochry this autumn.

To celebrate the occasion, The Enchanted Forest surprised Fiona, partner Zander and 18 month old son, also Zander, with an extra-special package to make their visit one to remember, including £150 of food, drink and retail vouchers and an overnight stay courtesy of partner Fisher’s Hotel in Pitlochry.

The milestone is particularly fitting in 2026, as The Enchanted Forest celebrates 25 years since the event first illuminated Faskally Wood in 2002. Over that time, the event has grown to become one of Scotland’s best-known autumn visitor experiences, attracting generations of families, couples and friends to Highland Perthshire.

This year’s anniversary show, Stop The Clock: The 25th Hour, takes its inspiration from the idea that every 25 years, Faskally Wood steals an hour from time itself, turning the forest into a magical fleeting window into what happens when the clocks stop and the woods fill up with wonder.

Gordon Morrison, CEO of The Enchanted Forest, said:

“One million visitors is an incredible milestone, and to reach it in our 25th anniversary year makes it even more special.

“The Enchanted Forest has grown enormously since it first began in 2002, but at its heart it remains about creating an unforgettable experience for people and bringing them together in this very special part of Scotland.

“Behind that millionth ticket are so many memories made over the years, as well as the support of our team, audiences, local community and the businesses we work alongside. We’re delighted that Fisher’s Hotel has joined us in celebrating the occasion and helping us give our millionth visitor a truly memorable Highland Perthshire experience.

“We hope Fiona had a fantastic time! It seems especially fitting that, in the year we’re asking everyone to stop the clock, we’ve reached a moment that’s worth stopping to celebrate.”

Fiona Robson, The Enchanted Forest’s millionth visitor, said:

““I’m absolutely thrilled to be The Enchanted Forests millionth customer! I never win anything, so it was such a surprise. It’s the first time we’re bringing our 18 month old to something like this and we’re really excited to spend time together as a family.”

As well as creating memorable experiences for visitors, The Enchanted Forest has a strong connection to the community around it. The Enchanted Forest Community Trust is a registered charity, and supporting the local economy and giving back over £650k to local charities and projects are central to its mission.

Stop The Clock: The 25th Hour takes place at Faskally Wood, Pitlochry, from 8 October to 8 November, with tickets on sale now.
