Our official charities.

As there is no show in 2021, we have not appointed Official Charities this year. Instead, our 2019 Official Charities are shown below for your reference.

Bumblebee Conservation Trust

We are passionate about saving bumblebees and we believe that the best way to do this is to be guided by the latest bumblebee and pollination science. As a result all of the policies and practices that drive our activities are science-led and we are continually working to monitor and evaluate our activities to ensure best practice in everything we do.

PKAVS

PKAVS is a dynamic local charity improving the quality of life of thousands of people throughout Perth & Kinross at their times of greatest need. Through our experienced staff of over 80, with the assistance of nearly 100 dedicated volunteers, we offer support to unpaid carers, those recovering from mental ill-health, minority communities, older people, the local voluntary sector, individuals with impaired mobility, and more.

Through one-to-one sessions, groups, trips, holidays, respite, advice, clinics, complimentary therapies, advocacy, training, signposting, activities, and much more, we work with people, supporting them to lead lives that they may not be able to without our help.

Guide Dogs (Scotland)

Guide Dogs Scotland provide life-changing mobility services to people living with sight loss. We help people to independently do the simple things that sighted people often take for granted, like travelling to work or school, shopping and meeting up with friends. Our ambition is for a future where every person with sight loss has the confidence and support to live their lives to the full.

In Scotland there are currently over 170,000 people living with sight loss. Despite the devastation caused by sight loss, 70% of adults receive no support within the first 12 months of diagnosis, and are likely to encounter poor education, high unemployment, depression, loneliness and financial insecurity throughout their lifetime.
