Enchanted Forest Flushed with Success of LAVY Award Win

Two major Highland Perthshire events, The Enchanted Forest, the innovative outdoor sound and light show at Faskally Wood in Perthshire, and the Pitlochry Autumn Festival are flushed with success at the news that they have been voted Heartland FM’s “Event of the Year” in the recent L.A.V.Y. Awards (Listeners Awards as Voted by You).

The announcement was made at a formal ceremony held last night at the L.A.V.Y. Awards Ceremony held in Craigvrack Hotel in Pitlochry.

Hamish Murray, chair of the steering group for the Enchanted Forest 2008 commented, “I am delighted to hear that we have won the award for Event of the Year. The support of the Highland Perthshire community for the Enchanted Forest event is very encouraging. Both the Enchanted Forest and the Pitlochry Autumn Festival continue to grow from strength to strength and it is great to know that the local community appreciates what we do.”

James Rattray, chair of the Pitlochry Autumn Festival Group said “This is great news for the Pitlochry Autumn Festival. This year will be our second festival, running alongside The Enchanted Forest event, and we’re delighted that the hard work and commitment of all the local businesses involved has culminated in an award that is voted for by the people who live here.” He concluded.
